The Anne Frank Trust UK

Using education to create a society safe from prejudice and discrimination

Young Professionals Committee Networking Event

The Anne Frank Trust’s Young Professionals Committee’s inaugural networking event was held on Tuesday 21 March at the offices of Addleshaw Goddard in the city, generously gifted to us for the occasion by the law firm.

Over 70 young professionals attended the event to mingle with like-minded peers and meet guest speakers Danny Karbassiyoon (former professional football player and scout), and Pippa Murray (founder of health food business Pip and Nut) who shared their own personal experiences of launching business start-ups.

Among prizes raffled on the night was a signed England football shirt which, together with ticket sales for the occasion, raised over £1100 in aid of our education work.

The event was the first of its kind for the Anne Frank Trust and followed the setting up in autumn 2016 of the Anne Frank Trust Young Professionals Committee. With our support the Committee will continue to grow this important element of our fundraising activity: broadening awareness of our work and building relationships with the next generation of business leaders, and potential donors.

The Young Professionals Committee was established in 2016 to expand event support for the Anne Frank Trust’s mission of creating a society safe from prejudice and discrimination. The Committee currently consists of 10 committed and ambitious young people who assist the Trust in designing, organising and helping to run fundraising events through the year.  The Young Professionals Committee are currently developing their next event for Autumn 2017.
