The Anne Frank Trust UK

Using education to create a society safe from prejudice and discrimination

Youth Action Project

Focusing on four key areas in Yorkshire and Humber and the North-East, The Anne Frank Trust Youth Action Project, supported by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund, will engage school pupils (aged 10-16) and Youth Action Groups (made up of disadvantaged young people aged 16-25) in addressing issues of community divisions; social isolation and lack of opportunities. The project will empower young people with the skills and knowledge to raise awareness of these issues and to help build community cohesion.

The Anne Frank Trust Youth Action Project will be rolled out over a 3-year period. Primary partners involved in the project include: YMCA, Newcastle, East End: Scotswood Centre, West End: JAMES (Joint Activities and Motor Education Service) Keighley, and Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.
